Thotcon is a small venue hacking conference based in Chicago IL, USA. This is a non-profit, non-commercial event looking to provide the best conference possible on a very limited budget. It was started as an idea in late 2009, by a group of local hackers who wanted to start a local low cost con. There have been three successful cons in 2010, 2011, and 2012 with tickets selling out well before the conference date. Any proceeds from the event are applied toward the next year’s event with hope to be able to put on a better con each year. The event will be limited to 18 talks, 3 workshops and 700 attendees.
